It works, love it so far! Based on the document and inspired by this post, https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/15835821/how-do-you-post-markdown-using-confluences-rest-api I tried to publish the markdown text to confluence using Jenkins confluence publisher Plugin using the following format, and it did work <ac:macro ac:name="markdown"> <ac:plain-text-body> ** your markdown text ** </ac:plain-text-body> </ac:macro> It solved my problem, good stuff. and wonder if this is working in REST API as well.

When we wrote it the primary intent was for use in the REST API. So yes it should work, please let us know if it doesn't.

During a recent Confluence upgrade we were notified that our version was incompatible. Support responded very quickly, providing clear instructions on how to solve the issue.

Company uses this and when upgrading to Confluence 7.x some of the html markdown stopped working. Support was very fast and helped my resolve my issue.

The generated tables looks not nice, it's ugly. Additional comments: Through communication, this problem has been solved, update the plugin by provided jar, generated tables style as my expect.Thanks.

The support for unordered lists seems to not really work that well. Or, as a matter of fact, on our Confluence lists are not really rendered at all. We see just the "* foo" text entries, not a real HTML
. And, naturally, nested lists do not work as well. But that Confluence has (basic) Markdown support because of this is already great! Should be integrated feature of Confluence with a button in the main toolbar of the editor pane. Not hidden in "other makros"
