Very user-friendly add-on. I like how data sources can be tested for connection success within the PocketQuery GUI and do not require a restart of Confluence to take effect.

I'm currently evaluating this plugin for reporting against an Oracle database. I became a big fan of PocketQuery that is very easy to use. We can create quick reports with nice user interfaces. I also created system monitoring dashboards using google charts, default tables, or customized html pages with jquery/javascript templates. I've very appreciated the prompt reactivity of the Scandio support to correct bugs and to provide new versions (Thanks to Carla and scandio team) very quicky. Hope this plugin will have a long success !

I love this plugin. This is sort of Front End in Confluence for mysql and a handy way to extract some data that bases on user's input. I'd like to say personal Thanks to Carla Harth who answers on https://answers.atlassian.com to questions with addon-de.scandio.confluence.plugins.pocketquery tag. And yeah, support of Update/Insert would be great enhancement!

Thank you very much for your nice review! We are always happy to assist you.

Also thanks for your question. As mentioned below, we explicitly don't want to support manipulating statements with PocketQuery. This is a matter of security, PocketQuery is designed to be a read-only tool.

If you have any feature requests beside of that, feel free to let us know!

    Thank you.

My team is a huge fan of PocketQuery! I personally have used it to automate a lot of ad-hoc reports and give our customers access to data they never would have been able to get using a traditional reporting service like Cognos, SSRS, etc. In fact, many of our customers prefer using the reports I have created using pocketquery because they load faster and offer greater visibility to their teams. In addition to general reports, I have created full fledged system monitoring dashboards utilizing graphs and maps; this is a huge cost savings over purchasing some software that does it. Plus, it is fun to see my work and analysis get seen by everyone else in the company.

Sven Schatter was a great help with our initial pocket query setup. At first I was a bit confused with where to put certain values, but Sven in support was thorough and aided in syntax and initial setup. Now that we have a model many users are enjoying pocket query plug-in. Thank you, Andrew

We're evaluating PQ at this time, but so far we're very impressed. We've been able to "free" our essential accounting data which was locked away in a separate system! It's such a delight to have such a seamless integration, and to have the information show up in Confluence -- where we need it. We've also setup a real-time replication to SQL Server -- so everything is current. Sven has been awesome in helping us get started and offering some advice on integrating with our back end system.

Very Good Plug-In to fetch data from all kind of databases. Support is very good. Felix helped us to formulate a SQL-Query with Wildcards. The Plug-In also integrates well with Table Filter and Charts.

I have been using the plugin for 4 months. I have been looking for a long time for a plugin that can insert data about the current user session in queries (for example, display the contents of the database, substituting the username of the user who is currently viewing the page). PQ allows you to implement amazing things thanks to queries in the database and to the REST API! And the support team answers any questions very quickly and promptly. The knowledge base is also rich in typical examples, which allows you to quickly implement almost any idea. The guys did a fantastic job. I strongly recommend their products for use.

We are using it extensively at BMW for various use cases. There is so much information distributed among several databases and finally we can centralise all of it easily in Confluence. Automated documentation provided by predefined Pocketquery macros saves so much time. Awesome support, data center ready, reasonable pricing, cannot recommend highly enough!

After testing nearly all SQL plugins for Confluence with varying degrees of success, we finally landed on PocketQuery. And boy, am I glad we did! The basic features work great, but the real strength is the flexibility you get with the more advanced features. There is a bit of a learning curve, but tinkering with Templates and Converters gives you the power to transform your output to fit your needs. With some EXCELLENT help from the support team, we are now able to run nested queries across not only different sources but sources with different types as well (partial result of a REST-API query as search parameters in a MySQL query, to be specific). Fantastic product with even greater support!

    Pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. This app is sold as a perpetual license, and the purchase price includes 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your Atlassian product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. The app tier should match the licensed user tier of the Atlassian product. For example, if you have a Confluence license for 500 users, you should purchase the 500-user tier for apps. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Atlassian product license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Can I install this app in a Data Center product?

Yes, this app has a Data Center approved version. If you're using a Data Center product, you should install the Data Center version of the app.

What type of license do I need if I'm using this app in a Data Center product?

Because this app has a Data Center approved version, you should purchase a Data Center license for the app.

If you already own a server license for this app, you can continue using the server license in your Data Center product for a limited period of time.

Learn more about Data Center licensing

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for server apps?

For server apps, academic licenses are available at a 50% discount if you have an academic license for your Atlassian product.

Community and open-source licenses are available for server apps. Learn more about community and open source licenses.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
