Great product, with almost unlimited potential. I use it for integrating weather data within Confluence. The product is great and the ability to use data converters and templates makes it quite powerful and extendable beyond just a database query plugin. As with all products, they are only so good as the team that supports them. When it comes to that PocketQuery has an excellent team which is always quick to respond and see you through any hurdles you come upon during implementation. Money well spent.

Very user-friendly add-on. I like how data sources can be tested for connection success within the PocketQuery GUI and do not require a restart of Confluence to take effect.

I'm currently evaluating this plugin for reporting against an Oracle database. I became a big fan of PocketQuery that is very easy to use. We can create quick reports with nice user interfaces. I also created system monitoring dashboards using google charts, default tables, or customized html pages with jquery/javascript templates. I've very appreciated the prompt reactivity of the Scandio support to correct bugs and to provide new versions (Thanks to Carla and scandio team) very quicky. Hope this plugin will have a long success !

I love this plugin. This is sort of Front End in Confluence for mysql and a handy way to extract some data that bases on user's input. I'd like to say personal Thanks to Carla Harth who answers on https://answers.atlassian.com to questions with addon-de.scandio.confluence.plugins.pocketquery tag. And yeah, support of Update/Insert would be great enhancement!

Thank you very much for your nice review! We are always happy to assist you.

Also thanks for your question. As mentioned below, we explicitly don't want to support manipulating statements with PocketQuery. This is a matter of security, PocketQuery is designed to be a read-only tool.

If you have any feature requests beside of that, feel free to let us know!

    Thank you.

Very useful addon for Confluence. We do use it quite often for reporting purposes. Also want to mention the excellent support. Reported a small bug in the latest release earlier this week and they were able to identify, reproduce and fix the issue within 24hours. Great stuff.

Sven Schatter was a great help with our initial pocket query setup. At first I was a bit confused with where to put certain values, but Sven in support was thorough and aided in syntax and initial setup. Now that we have a model many users are enjoying pocket query plug-in. Thank you, Andrew

We're evaluating PQ at this time, but so far we're very impressed. We've been able to "free" our essential accounting data which was locked away in a separate system! It's such a delight to have such a seamless integration, and to have the information show up in Confluence -- where we need it. We've also setup a real-time replication to SQL Server -- so everything is current. Sven has been awesome in helping us get started and offering some advice on integrating with our back end system.

PocketQuery for Confluence helps our company display otherwise convoluted data in a visually appealing table. Now, information from our database can be displayed in Confluence in an easy-to-digest manner. PocketQuery also has an amazing support team who is highly responsive and helpful! I highly recommend this add-on.

PocketQuery is a key piece of technology that allows us to use Confluence as a portal into systems of record throughout our organization. The ability to run multiple queries, post-process the result sets, and provide a customized view allows us to turn data into information that is tailored to specific user groups. Beyond the capabilities of the software, I greatly appreciate the timely and helpful support from the team. Turnaround has been marvelous and the information in response to my inquiries has been very helpful. I highly recommend PocketQuery.

It's really a game changer for large instances. Besides that you need to be wary to not kill your Crowd with a request which is simply too massive, it's a great app and it has a great vendor.

I have been using the plugin for 4 months. I have been looking for a long time for a plugin that can insert data about the current user session in queries (for example, display the contents of the database, substituting the username of the user who is currently viewing the page). PQ allows you to implement amazing things thanks to queries in the database and to the REST API! And the support team answers any questions very quickly and promptly. The knowledge base is also rich in typical examples, which allows you to quickly implement almost any idea. The guys did a fantastic job. I strongly recommend their products for use.

    Pricing FAQ

How does cloud app pricing work?

Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my cloud pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Confluence Cloud apps are priced based on the number of Confluence users on your instance. For example, if you have Confluence Cloud (25 users), you pay the 25-user price for apps.

The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

Annual subscriptions may offer a discount depending on the number of users purchased.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

Yes. Academic, community, and open source licenses are available to qualifying organizations. See our Purchasing & Licensing FAQ for more information.

Can I extend my free trial?

For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.

    Pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. This app is sold as a perpetual license, and the purchase price includes 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your Atlassian product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. The app tier should match the licensed user tier of the Atlassian product. For example, if you have a Confluence license for 500 users, you should purchase the 500-user tier for apps. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Atlassian product license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Can I install this app in a Data Center product?

Yes, this app has a Data Center approved version. If you're using a Data Center product, you should install the Data Center version of the app.

What type of license do I need if I'm using this app in a Data Center product?

Because this app has a Data Center approved version, you should purchase a Data Center license for the app.

If you already own a server license for this app, you can continue using the server license in your Data Center product for a limited period of time.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for server apps?

Community and open-source licenses are available for server apps. Learn more about community and open source licenses.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
