Local groups can now also be removed from users in Read-Only directories during automatic user deactivation.

Please make sure that you are using a directory with LDAP permissions "Read Only, with Local Groups" and that the group you want to remove the user from is a local group (not a group in your Active Directory that is).

Fixed a bug where the email summary report sent to administrators was mentioning users being removed from groups, even though they were just deactivated as defined in the automatic job.

The bug was only affecting version 4.0.5 users which switched from group removal auto deactivation mode to deactivation mode, leaving the groups provided earlier in the UI.

This new version is the basis for future development across all Atlassian products, same as the already published version for Confluence linked here

Please test it well in your dev/ staging environment, although we've put a lot of effort in testing and upgrading from older version to this new one.

XSRF Vulnerability Fix

Fixed issues where groups for a user were not retrieved properly. This caused user being deactivated or removed from groups, even when the user was a member of exclusion groups.

Most likely also affected group removal itself in some cases.

Fixed a bug causing group names provided in the non-group picker text fields (groups to be removed from user field and exclude users who are member of these groups field ) not to be trimmed properly and hence not being processed correctly.

Fixed a regression bug causing auto deactivation job not to load, if it was created before version 3.1.0 (release without group removal/ exclusion features) and updated to a version greater or equal to 3.1.0.
