Group Sign-Off / Multi-Approval for Jira Cloud enables parallel, conditional decision-making across configurable subsets — sourced from multi-user pickers, Jira groups, project roles, JSM asset user attributes (e.g., owners or stakeholders), or static user lists. Each subset supports optional conditions, and for example: four-eyes principles. The app tracks approvals, declines, delegations, and maintains full decision history. Also, admins can delegate on behalf of others, ensuring business continuity. Timeouts offer triggers with predefined outcomes, and configurable auto-transitions update issue status after final decisions. The “Group Sign-Off / Multi-Approval Field” custom field type is generally available in company-managed projects for admins and also in team-managed projects under Activities → Multi-Approvals.
Ideal for complex, conditional approvals that require transparency and a full participant history, without the need to modify your Jira workflows.

- This release improves approval imports, permission checks and Forge migration guidance. - Adds Group Sign-Off's migration plan to Jira's Connected Apps notice. - Prevents ineligible users from changing sign-off decisions and hides voting or delegation actions they cannot use. - Checks sign-off field and configuration access using the requesting user's Jira permissions. - Preserves imported decisions across retries, keeps imports isolated, and reports incomplete or unsupported results more clearly. - Improves migrated field configuration, user mapping, approval queues and automatic decisions. - Sign-off decisions are left undecided, with a reason, when a configured role, group or work item cannot be read. - A sign-off whose voting rule cannot be evaluated in time stays Pending and is re-evaluated instead of being recorded as Declined. - Options saved as off are shown and kept as saved; re-check delegation, avatar-only and start notifications, which earlier saves could switch on.
