This is a great product and extensively used by our users and vendor teams for creating IO diagrams to create process models and mapping work across our different projects on our portfolio. As the Atlassian Admin on our team, they've all given me great feedback and love using the applet for their work. This is just to let the good folks at Draw.IO Diagrams know that they're doing a great job and keep up the good work.

I like draw.io very much. I use it for professional work as an architect and personal work for all kind of diagrams and visual content. The integration with Confluence is perfect and seamless. As a Professional Cloud Architect I like also that there are shapes for cloud service providers like AWS and GCP, but also for data modelling, process models using BPMN and dynamic part of solution architecture using UML. It is my number one drawing tool.

    Hi Karesh,

This sometimes happens when browser security settings or extensions conflict with the delivery of the plugin content. If you contact draw.io support via support@draw.io, we'll get you up and running.

Came across draw.io as a potential replacement for gliffy in our environment and the POC for migration seemed very efficient. All the best features of a diagram tool for a very less price. The conversion between a gliffy diagram to drawio is seemless. Definitely a GO if someone is looking for a cost effective and simple illustrative tool for confluence.

We moved from gliffy to draw.io due to reliability issues. All our existing drawings were converted with no issues. This new tool is easier/more intuitive to use than the other. Draw.io is much faster in both drawing creation and loading time between read and edit modes. Sometimes pictures do speak louder than words, and draw.io gets it done right.

I tried couple of add-ons for my diagrams. I can say that so far this is one of the best! It has all features needed to make outstanding diagrams. Easy to install, very easy to use. Wonderful Support Team, I got to meet in-person with some of them in Atlassian Summit.

I've been using draw.io for almost 10 years now, and it's still one the addons I use the most. It's very easy to make a diagram, with all the bundled assets you're sure to have what you're looking for. All the technical teams I know love draw.io as you can make an architecture diagram in 10 minutes, share it with your colleagues and have someone update it anytime.

For me it is a must app for confluence . The feature set is really impressive . One of my favourite feature is the Visio import (as I get Visio files from customers and draw.io is IMHO the only app for confluence that can deal with them, e.g. multiple tabs . For those who consider a migration , my best result was 3500 mass migration without a known issue. Keep the good work guys :-)

Excellent piece of software. I prefer this over Visio when drawing a flowchart. And it's fast to keep your diagrams up-to-date because you can edit your diagram on Confluence! No need for download/upload attachments.

Great drawing tool for Confluence. When I saw this paid update message, and I received the email from Atlassian as well, I thought 'Well, this is going to be painful', as we have had a number of other add-ins that were so pricey when scaling up to 100+ users. Guess what: this one costs you $ 0.05 per user. No worries for that. I am happy that I can still use this addon.

Does it lag behind draw.io ? Trees are available in draw.io but i can't seem to get them via the plugin. Otherwise it's excellent!

I lost 4 complex diagrams for some unknown reason - it says "file not found". Even reverting to the first version of the page didn't solve the issue. So frustrating! -- Update -- Seems the above could be a Confluence bug. Waiting to see. Draw.io by itself (sans the bug) is great.

    Pricing FAQ

How does cloud app pricing work?

Cloud apps are sold as a monthly or annual subscription. You are eligible for support and automatic version updates as long as your subscription is active.

When your subscription renews each month, you are automatically billed for apps based on the number of users in your instance.

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my cloud pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. Confluence Cloud apps are priced based on the number of Confluence users on your instance. For example, if you have Confluence Cloud (25 users), you pay the 25-user price for apps.

The pricing structure for cloud apps is as follows:

    • Monthly subscriptions with up to 10 Atlassian product users are billed at a flat rate price.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 10 users are billed per user, starting at the first user.
    • Monthly subscriptions with more than 100 users are billed per user. The table above provides example pricing at various user levels.

Annual subscriptions may offer a discount depending on the number of users purchased.

Do you offer academic, community, or open-source licenses for cloud apps?

Academic, community and open source licenses are not available for cloud apps.

Can I extend my free trial?

For cloud apps, you cannot extend your free evaluation period. All cloud apps are immediately subscribed by a user, and we provide a free evaluation period. This is a minimum of 30 days and ends on the second billing cycle after you first subscribe to the app.

    Pricing FAQ

How does server app pricing work?

Server products and apps are hosted on your servers. This app is sold as a perpetual license, and the purchase price includes 12 months of maintenance (support and version updates).

You can renew maintenance after 12 months at 50% of the current purchase price. You can upgrade the tier of your Atlassian product and app licenses at any time. Upgrade prices are calculated based on Atlassian's formula (view example).

If app pricing changes after your initial purchase, there's a 60-day grandfathering period during which you can renew based on the old pricing.

How do I determine my server pricing?

Apps are billed based on the number of users in your Atlassian product. The app tier should match the licensed user tier of the Atlassian product. For example, if you have a Confluence license for 500 users, you should purchase the 500-user tier for apps. Even if fewer users want to use the app than your Atlassian product license, the two licenses should match exactly.

Can I install this app in a Data Center product?

Yes, this app has a Data Center approved version. If you're using a Data Center product, you should install the Data Center version of the app.

Learn more about Data Center approved apps

Community and open-source licenses are available for server apps. Learn more about community and open source licenses.

Can I extend my free trial?

For server apps, you can extend your app trial up to 5 times - in other words, for up to six months. Extend your trial by generating a new evaluation license key from Atlassian Marketplace. Click Try it free and you'll be directed to generate a new license. Paste this license key into the app listing in UPM from your Atlassian product, and you're all set.

How can I buy apps for my legacy Jira Server or Confluence Server license?

If you own a legacy Jira Server Unlimited (100+ users) or Confluence Server Unlimited (2000+ users) license purchased in 2012 or earlier, legacy app pricing is no longer available. You have two options for app purchasing:

    • Purchase the app at the non-legacy Unlimited (10000+ users) tier.
    • Renew your Jira or Confluence license at a non-legacy tier, then purchase the app at the same tier.
