TeamCity Integration for Jira

This marketing documentation in the Marketplace says that it can trigger remote builds. The FAQ says that it cannot. This was only discovered after wasting time attempting to configure it. To be as fare as possible. It seems that it may be possible from a standalone version, but not he cloud version.

Your teamcity password is sent in cleartext. I'd not use it.

  Сould you please tell me the version of the add-on you are using. It should be noted that for the Cloud version, the password is transmitted over a secure https connection (TLS 1.2+), and in the case of the Server version, it depends on the https setting on the Jira side itself.

In our specific use case, I don't say that we actually 'depend' on this plugin, yet it just adds that nice touch where I can see the build revision in the issue. It is true that nowadays, you can simply click-through to the related branch and see all the build information there (in BitBucket or GitHub), yet having the information on the issue itself is a handy shortcut for me. I'd also like to outline that this is a very solid plugin. Although I do not use any of its features; other than viewing the build in the issue, I did test all the rest (ex. the dashboard gadgets), and they work like a charm. Additionally, I have been completely impressed by their customer support. I wish everyone was as efficient as them.
