Capacity Planner for Jira helps team leads and Scrum Masters plan sprint capacity. It turns the assignees, estimates, sprints and worklogs you already have into one heatmap: who is over-allocated, who has room, and where to rebalance.
What you get: planned vs available hours per person and sprint with a red, amber or green status; logged hours from every worklog; holidays and a part-time FTE factor per person; saved overrides that split an issue across people and sprints.
Quick start:
- Add the Capacity Planner gadget to a Jira dashboard.
- In Capacity model, set hours per day, hours per story point, working days, holidays and the Plan JQL, then select Save.
- Set each person's FTE factor (1 is full time) and select Save.
- Read the Heatmap: planned vs available hours, logged hours and status.
- In Rebalance, enter an issue key, choose person, sprint and share, then select Save override.
Runs on Atlassian Forge with no external egress, so your Jira data never leaves Atlassian.

Heatmap: planned vs available hours per person and sprint, logged hours from Jira worklogs, and a red, amber or green status (over 110%, on target, under 70%).
