Group Audit is read-only by design: it uses granular read scopes instead of the broad “Administer Jira” permission, stores no data, and sends nothing outside your Jira site.
Covered surfaces: permission schemes, notification schemes (incl. group-custom-field events flagged for manual review), project roles and default role actors, issue security levels, filter sharing and editing grants, filter JQL via membersOf(), filter subscriptions, dashboard sharing and editing grants, product access, and group members (incl. deactivated accounts).
Honest by design: long scans resume in chunks and retry on rate limits. If a check still cannot finish, the report is marked incomplete - in the UI and in the CSV - because an audit tool must never silently omit.
Not covered (yet): workflow conditions and board permissions. Global permission grantees have no public API in Jira Cloud.
