Page Approval - Review, Sign-off & Document Version Control

“Approved” should stop being true the moment somebody edits the page. Page Approval makes the approval belong to a version, so the page can tell the truth about itself. The badge on the byline reads Not submitted, Waiting for approval, Approved, Approved - page changed, or Changes requested, and one sentence says the whole thing: “Approved on version 7 by the reviewer who signed it - the page is now on version 9, with 2 changes since then”, with a link to Confluence’s own comparison. Sending a page back requires a written reason, and the reason is part of the record. Adding a label, moving or renaming the page never wipes a signature. The approval stamp is printed in the exported PDF, in bold when the page has moved on. A space report shows every page’s real state, with a filter for the ones still claiming to be approved. It works the moment it is installed, and nothing leaves Atlassian. Open-source projects use it free; nonprofits and schools get Atlassian’s discount.
