As a Test Manager with over 20yrs experience, it is fair to say that ZEPHYR was not the tool of choice, but since our instance was in the cloud, the options were limited. As a seasoned QA team with experienced staff it was a slight step back as the functionality in ZEPHYR is quite basic. Recently the new ADG UI update has offered slight functional improvements but lacked on performance severely, but it is still way below what a QA team would expect from a test management tool. Support and development are not the best either, response times are decent but the promise of inclusion in a future update is a pipe dream and community threads on the ZEPHYR and ATLASSIAN sites seem to go without update for years. Given statements like "Zephyr is the top grossing app in the Atlassian Marketplace, boasting over 18,000 teams using the tool to execute over 40 million tests..." I believe this is probably because the pricing model in the Atlassian Marketplace is so inflexible. Our business in particular have a user base of 200 but only 10 use teh ZEPHYR functionality, but we have to pay for 200 licenses, truly madness. I hope for better things now ZEPHYR has been acquired by SmartBear. 1. Update your pricing model 2. Up your game on available functionality 3. Make the Development Roadmap visible to licensed user base.

We are using the trial version of Zephyr tool, QA team members are happy and comfortable with the UI and functionality. In our current project, we have less than 5 QA people, but around 20+ Jira users. This makes buying subscription very unattractive since we will be mostly paying for non-QA people, which doesn't make sense financially. We have different Jira instances for different projects, for each project there would be 20+ Jira users and 4+ testers. Could you please provide us right solution.

The app is good but it charges for all the users created under an organization though only selected resources within development and QA groups will be using it. They need to change the policy how they charge.

The Zephyr Squad add-on application should not be tied with number of Jira users for licensing charge since an organization can have a hundred of Jira sw users but only less than 10 users need Zephyr Application.

SmartBear does not set the licensing approach you're referencing. Instead, Atlassian sets this policy, and all marketplace apps follow this method.

Newly updated UI is Horrible, and that is putting it mildly. We are also experiencing: - Poor performance in terms of loading time. - Missing test cases on a regular basis. - Entered results sometimes disappear. - No way to view comments by testers. As it is, we need a way to roll back in order to even consider keeping Zephyr. It changed from a useful tool to a complete liability for us.
